Pictures from the 2008 AirShow
The Florida International Air Show Board of Directors, staff and all of our 800 Volunteers would like to thank everyone that attended the show this past weekend. It was a very successful event and the many charities that are provided funds from the show will benefit.
This FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW was for YOU Southwest Florida!
The Florida International AirShow’s 28th event was held on April 5th & 6th 2008. This AirShow celebrated 28 years of family oriented entertainment and aviation education for Southwest Floridians.
The United States Air Force Thunderbirds returned for the 7th time to the SouthWest Florida for the 28th Florida International AirShow. The US Army Golden Knights kicked off each show with their dramatic "Flag Jump" with their 11th return to the Florida International AirShow. Hall of Fame pilot Patty Wagstaff also returned to Southwest Florida to perform for the crowds. Many other Flying acts and Ground displays thrilled the crowds for hours each day.
The Florida International AirShow is made possible only through the generous support of our volunteers and our sponsors. Our sponsors seek and receive modest recognition; our Volunteers receive little recognition; however, together they are the superstars of our successful event. . . year after year, after year. Through their selfless aid and tireless hours of dedication, the show has been able to return net proceeds of over $2,000,000 to more than 56 charities in and around the Southwest Florida region.
The Florida International AirShow is a Southwest Florida Charity Event. This AirShow is held every year at the Charlotte County Airport. The AirShow HotLine Telephone Number is 941.575.9007.
