Punta Gorda, Florida

Next April, a new look is coming for the 28th annual Florida International Air Show, and some old friends are returning.

When they arrive, the team will find a new and better look at the Charlotte County Airport. With the coming of Skybus and commercial air service to Punta Gorda, some changes needed to be made by airport management. It also means some changes for the Florida International Air Show.

A better layout with better seating and more crowd pleasing entertainment will make for an exciting weekend. Skybus is already here, and with the return of the Thunderbirds, Air Boss of the show, Bob Hall, is excited. He said, "We are happy with the changes. The people will see more of the Thunderbirds, and we will actually incorporate flights by Skybus into our show.

Please be aware that almost everything has changed for this year's Florida International AirShow. When we say everything, we mean everything;

  • the parking areas are new and in different locations than they have been in past years;
  • the entrance gates have been relocated and there are now only two, past AirShows had three entrance gates;
  • the layout of the Static Aircraft Displays and the amusement areas are completely different from past years;
  • the entire flight line has moved out further onto the airport.

Please take a moment and download our most recient location map, the Parking and Entrance Gate map, and the flightline layout map. You will quickly see the differences in this years AirShow.

Thank you and Enjoy the AirShow.
